ATA-DC is organizing an earthquake relief concert with the support of Capital One Hall in Tysons Corner, VA.
Internationally award winning Turkish Rock band maNga will be performing to raise funds for the dual Earthquake victims in Turkiye.
MaNga performs 100-120 concerts per year for crowds averaging 3000 to 5000. In December 2022 they were on a 10 city European concert tour and sold out on each. In 2010 they won second place at the Eurovision song contest. Their song “Bir Kadın Çizeceksin” was given to FIFAs game. In addition they won MTV Europe’s best rock group title in 2009.
Tickets will be on sale soon and all proceeds from this concert will be used for long term relief efforts such as providing prostheses for children who lost their limbs.
On February 6th, a massive earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8 followed by dozens of aftershocks, including a 7.5-magnitude tremor, impacted 11 cities in Türkiye and Syria, where more than 50,000 people lost their lives, over 100,000 were injured, and 1.5 million people were displaced.
