CENTENNIAL REPUBLIC DAY BALL
WE CELEBRATE THE 101st ANNIVERSARY OF
THE REPUBLIC OF TURKIYE
ATA-DC will host a Turkish Republic Day Ball honoring the legacy of Atatürk and the nation’s journey to the present day.
The 101st anniversary grand ball will take place at the Washington Plaza Hotel on Saturday, October 26, 2024 5:30pm – 11:00pm.
The Proclamation of the Republic of Türkiye on October 29, 1923 marked a pivotal moment in Turkish history. This year, as we celebrate this landmark milestone for the Turkish Republic, we look forward to a memorable Republic Ball with greater participation from the Turkish-American Associations and our community members.
October 29, 2023 marks a century since the founding of the Republic of Türkiye following the Turkish War of Independence, which was led by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
The Proclamation of the Republic of Türkiye on October 29, 1923 marked a pivotal moment in Turkish history, as it signaled the end of the Ottoman Empire and the beginning of a new era of modernization and secularization in Türkiye. Atatürk, the Republic’s founding father, implemented a series of reforms aimed at transforming Türkiye into a modern, democratic, and secular nation-state.
This year, we would like to have a memorable celebration with greater participation from the Turkish-American Associations and our community members. Therefore we are extending the honor of being a part of this milestone anniversary by being a sponsor.
